Naang Boots was founded by Dana Blouin and Allan Donnelly in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2023. What began as a one-off design collaboration quickly grew into a long-term partnership and eventually became the brand it is today.
From the beginning, our goal has been simple: build boots that put foot health first without sacrificing durability. Every Naang boot is built around an anatomical toe box and is available in both minimal heel and zero-drop configurations. At the same time, we are very clear that we do not make barefoot boots. Our philosophy has always been to create rugged heritage boots with substantial soles that are built for real-world use.
Each pair is hand welted using traditional construction methods and built with a thick leather insole and midsole. As the leather breaks in, the boots become more flexible and conform to the shape of your feet. They will never provide the ground feel of a thin-soled barefoot shoe, and that is entirely intentional.
We chose this construction because we believe a boot should be durable, repairable, and capable of handling years of hard use. Every Naang boot is designed to be rebuilt, extending its life rather than becoming another pair of boots destined for the landfill.
